What was the highlight of LuckyOne Hostel

A big thank you for a fantastic stay

Everything! The stuff, the space itself - super comfy beds, a couple of common areas where you can chill, superb interior design :) The location is a 15 min ride on a bus till the main station/Ximen, away from all the noise and craziness of the shopping area filled with tourists! A huge plus is a cafe called “Pet Cafe” just next door with delicious breakfast and good coffee. There is also a vegetarian restaurant 3 min from the hostel and a bubble tea place 5 min away. Overall, it is probably my best stay in a hostel I have ever had :)) I hope the stuff will get a raise for doing such a good job and keeping the place the way it is hehe

Nice place to stay in Taipei!

Great price, comfy new pillows on request, big lockers, super helpful and friendly staff, perfect location, we were happy staying here and we returned to stay again!

The showers need a bit of repairing (broken doors/shower head hooks). Super noisy guests shouting at 4am and in the late evening/early morning in the corridors - I think the sound proofing isn't great. Ventilation in room needs improving or a no shoes in rooms policy!!

The rate is very much affordable and the place is cozy.

The wifi is not stable and occasionally they went off automatically... and little space for chillout or place where we can eat.

The staff in the hotel were very accomodating and polite with all our inquiries. The room is clean and the bathroom is big and well maintained. AC is temp is still good. Walking distance to the train station.

i like the location, very near to train station. i like the bed, very wide. i like the receptionist, they know how to speak English

our room on first floor, only few cubicles for showering and toilet bowl. no water dispenser on first floor so i need to go to 2nd floor. they provide everything but you need to tell/ask them one by one. were traveler so we need such as towel, sleepers, toiletriesans etc which are no need to ask, it should be provided.

the staff was friendly and helpful

the stairs of the bunk bed were pretty bad design, I am 164cm, and it was quite hard for me to climb. Too thick and hard to grab something to climb while the bunk bed is tall on average

Great stay in Taipei

Really helpful staff, easy check in, can store luggage. Nice common spaces with fridge and water refills. Strong wifi, lots of books and magazines to read. Good sized bathrooms, hot showers, hair dryers. Nice rooms, big enough double bed for 2 people (one is 6ft3!), good duvet and pillows. Huge lockers! Great location with cute coffee shop next door, short walk to the best night market we've found in Taiwan (Shuangcheng), short walk to metro station and good location for walking to many attractions. Very good value for Taipei. We enjoyed our stay and are staying here again when we arrive back in Taipei tonight!

Smell of drains in 2nd floor ladies bathroom and shower curtain for one of the toilet doors. All the showers in 2nd floor men's bathroom were broken (I.e. won't hang on wall). A/C controls didn't work in bedroom, ventilation in room not great. We requested better pillows because ours were awful and the new ones were great! Quite thin mattress. All fairly minor things...

The location was great, outside the main bustle of the city...

The location was great, outside the main bustle of the city but still just a 5minute walk to the nearest MRT station which would take you either into the city in one direction or out if the city to Juifen or Beitou in the other direction. The staff were friendly and helpful, allowing us to store our bags there the last day in the city whole we wandered before catching a bus to the airport and the door code system with reception open till 2am was also really useful. They do have a washer and dryer on site which is great especially if you're visiting during rainy season and the rooms themselves have good ac/heat.

The facilities while nice in appearance at first weren't really the best designed or executed, the bathrooms on the first floor were so small that when you closed the door to the stall your knees touched the door, and the showers were often missing a combo of either door hooks in the backs of doors or shelves to place items on. There were small signs of wear and tear in terms of the bathrooms but the rooms were obviously well thought out, there was the weird thing of each bunch having different sized lockers though, some had a full sized one (able to fit a backpack or suitcase) while others had only the shelves that we're in the bunk which locked but couldn't fit as much. As well there was no kitchen so people staying more than one or two nights (we were there six) and needing or wanting more than a fridge to keep things cold might get a little frustrated.

What was the highlight of LuckyOne Hostel

Close to the subway and good restaurants nearby.

If you want to be in a comfortabel bed and have a good shower and reliable water supply, this is not the place to go. The mantras was completely worn out, too short for European sized people; we were literally lying on the coil springs. The water supply simply stopped while having a shower, no chance flushing the toilet either for over half an hour. The room wasn’t particularly clean (hair everywhere), seemed like half finished, the bathroom floor constantly wet as the toilet was leaking, no towels other than the two bath towels. The shower head could not be hung to the wall, broken. Asking the staff about the problems, there was no solution. The name ‘superior room’ is like calling a the local train the high speed comfort train. The room looked half finished, half worn out. No proper light in the bathroom so there was not much to see standing in front of the mirror. The breakfast is served in the tiny and cute next door cafe but requires a 45 minutes waiting time. What a waste of money.

The room was noisy, close to the common bathroom.

The room was noisy, close to the common bathroom. Moreover, there was a step inside, which is quite dangerous at night, especially if there isn't a bedside lamp as in our case. There is a blue-lit button to open the door from inside which makes a lot of light and is disturbing when you try to sleep. The blanket was too small so that we were cold. There was a non working sink (???). The check in is only until 11 pm. All of this for 3400NTD / 100€. Totally overpriced.
